Using headsets with Polycom phones can help you stay productive whether you're at or away from your desk.

Headsets that are compatible with Polycom

These are the two interface types used by Polycom phones and supported headsets are 2.5 mm, RJ-9 (also known as modular or direc tconnect), USB, or Quick Disconnect/Easy Disconnect (QD/ED). Polycom phones work with a variety of headsets, including analog, USB, and electronic hookswitch headsets (EHS),as well as Bluetooth headsets The following tables list the supported headset types and models:

● Compatible Analog Headsets

● Compatible USB (Digital) Headsets

● Compatible EHS Headsets

● Compatible Bluetooth Headsets

Other headset models may work with your Polycom phone, but Polycom has not yet tested them.

Compatible Analog Headsets

Analog, or wired, headsets can be connected to most Polycom phones via a wired connection using one of the following methods: Visit your headset manufacturer's website to learn more about connecting your analog headset to your phone.

Compatible USB (Digital) Headsets

Certain USB headset models are officially supported by the Polycom VVX 500 and VVX 600 phones. Polycom has evaluated the models listed in the table below in terms of performance and functionality.USB headset models other than those listed in the table Compatible USB Headsets may still work with the VVX 500 and VVX 600 phones, but functionality may be limited.

Compatible EHS Headsets

You can use the EHS feature to answer and end phone calls by using controls on the headset. In addition to the standard analog headset jack (RJ9) interface, your headset must include a digital serial control interface. The serial control interface necessitates the purchase of an EHS adapter, which is available from your local electronics store.


Compatible Bluetooth Headsets

The following Bluetooth headset specifications are officially supported by the Polycom VVX 600 phone:

  • Bluetooth 2.1 EDR
  • Bluetooth headset HFP/HSP pairing
